Get younger potential customers

Who think Bacanora is old and too strong

To try a new product and give the classic drink a second chance

By refocusing the message on moments that matter to them and re-discover old traditions

The idea

Bacanora is an agave drink similar to tequila, local from Bacanora, Sonora, Mexico. The beverage has a strong smoky flavor and has been in the market for years; it is part of the state's history and cultural value. However, most people think of it as an old drink only consumed by cowboys and farmers.

The challenge is introducing a new brand, and product to an audience that is very used to their ways; shifting the perception of the drink itself, and introducing a new product: a bacanora cream with a softer flavor.

We launched the campaign Redescubre el Bacanora, where we introduced new drinks, mixers, and products to local pubs. Honoring the tradition behind it while inviting young people to give it a “second shot”.

Designing branding and marketing materials with a fresh take on a traditional drink.
Creating bottle labels and packaging materials.
