By making an app that is easy to use, engaging, and allows people to participate in a gift economy
The idea
Buy Nothing groups are a gift economy that uses Facebook groups as a platform to communicate, build, gift, receive and ask for local free items.
The challenge is reaching out to people interested in participating in the gift economy but who want to use something other than Facebook.
I performed user research to create a UX design proposal for this project. I made a user persona to create an intuitive, friendly app design.
